Single

Girls. They are scary indeed. There you are already in a relationship and here you are saying that you prefer to be single. You enjoy the feeling of guys chasing after you. Funny. Ironic. Well, human can't be satisfy with what they have. They will never learn to appreciate what they had already gotten in their hands. Maybe that is why the society is able to improve and advance. Trying to satisfy their own obsessions.

Indeed, being single means no commitment. There are a lot of decision made would seem easy. A few days ago, I discussed with my cousins about investment. His advice was that I go for it since I have no commitment.

Anyway good luck to my friend here. Whatever your decision is, I am sure you will not regret about it. HAHA.

So called rare princess she seems to be.

Trust You

Haha. What am I doing in the middle of the night? Browsing for some useless stuff. Chat with friends. Later on I came across this song. Have I shared this song before? Maybe I did. I used to like this song a lot.

Hungry

I am hungry right now or I am just lack of sugar? Not sure. It is late now and I am suppose to sleep now. Tomorrow, I will still have to study for a test which is on Friday. At least another assignment was done yesterday. Two more assignments to go, 4 more papers to go, 1 more test and 1 more presentation and everything will end. This semester is coming to an end. Isn't it AWESOME. I am halfway trough for my Civil engineering course.

"Sam, go for her.". The phrase still rings in my ears after so many months. It was my cousin. Few months back when I was in Malaysia, my cousin actually advised me to try to go for a girl which I had known during my break in Malaysia. Well, I like chatting with her. She is smart, and mature. I would say a very independent girl. Thoughtful and observant. It is comfortable to chat with her. Even though we only manage to hangout only for two days during her trip over to Malaysia, I still think that the two days had been awesome.

Suddenly, she passed me a new. It is great to know that she will be going to Malaysia again next year during April. Should I go back? Not sure. It will be great to meet the awesome friend of mine.

Different way

Sometimes trying to do things different will do us good. Sometimes, it won't do us any good and yet we will still be able to learn something from it.

Today right before the test, I am different from before. I studied, I read the notes over and over again, and right before the test, I am still doing the same thing. Not the usual me. Usually, I prefer to sleep early the night before and forget about everything I learn for the test or exams. Groundwater has been a tough subject. Learning, and pure memorising won't do us any good. We must be able to understand, analyse, and solve the problems. Even till now, the subject itself still has lots of unknowns. Well, I manage the answer the theory easily but, somehow I messed up the problem solving area. This isn't good.

Today, my friend's girlfriend arrived back to KL and they went out for durians. My favourite food. My friend invited me trough the net to come back for the coming holiday. It seems like the durian season for this year will be a whole lot better than the seasons before. I wanted to go back. I do miss home. There are times when I think, maybe I should not have got back last time. It just make me miss home more than before.

Well, one of my weakness is I can be very emotional. Maybe because I understand about this weakness of mine that I always prefer to cut off all emotion when I am at work neglecting everything. I just did my test today and I should be tired now but somehow I am still wide awake.

I should really thank my friend Kean Soon. There are friends that you will appreciate and cherish for the rest of the time. My friend from Malaysia, Kyle, and another friend who I haven;t contacted for a long time, Han Foong. In life we meet lots of people, but friends who will really give you guidance, advice, understand you and help you out when you need them are hard to find.

Today, I have got an email regarding a holiday job for the winter break. Some holiday placement to help out with some research for a company. Somehow, I had agree to help out with a research conducted by a professor from Monash. I wanted to try out for the winter placement. Nothing much I can do now.If only the professor had rejected me before, will this be another one of my opportunity?

"Facing with a rejection means there are more opportunities to come." Seem like, this phrase is true. I did not regret for joining up with the research group from Monash. Somehow, the phrase just popped up in my head just now.

Another thing came into my thoughts today, I am going to graduate soon. I will need to plan out on what I should prepare in order to get a good job later on after I graduate. as we all know, nowadays employers are looking for fresh graduates that aren't only good with studies but also excel in other co-curriculum activities. Lately, a lot of people would say that by doing volunteer job would actually do good in your resume. First thing that come across my mind would be, "WOW, should go volunteer myself for some shit and my employer will like me in future.". There are lots of organisation would actually help us to organise all these volunteer job activities. Volunteer ourself and go to some rural country and help out with their infrastructure would be suitable for me. Easiest way would be browsing the Engineers Without Borders site. Last year, there are a few representatives from the organisation came over and introduce some of the volunteer jobs. They would give out brochures showing all these kids with sad faces and the poor living conditions of the environment. Then another part of the brochures would be some of the ex-participants smiling happily for joining the volunteer job. I was thinking, am I being sincere in helping them or just because I want the experience from the job so that I would get a better job in future? Maybe if I was to be in the brochures, I should be grinning evilly.

A bit lost now. I like to blog when I am lost. This blog had being accompanying me for more than two years. My friend is right about me, I don't like to share my problems with other people. I find it easier to type my problems out rather than talking about them. Is it because I do not trust the people around me? Well, a friend commented me on that asking me, "In reality, who do I trust?". Come to think about it, very few people and they do not include my parents. I was able to confirmed that when my mum asked me why I don't share everything with her but in return I would always ask her to share everything with me.

Maybe life is simple, I always believe that I can handle most of the things on my own. I don't find the need to trouble other people for my own problem. There are times, I always feel that a lot of people can't provide me with the answer that I want. I am lucky enough to have a few friends that I can trust around me. There are some people out in the world might be more pathetic than me. They might be out there alone in their room, trying to solve their problems, fails and in the end commit suicide and do stupid things.

Suicide, the most idiotic action to be taken in life. Our life is just too short and beautiful.

Enough for today.

Groundwater

Tomorrow I will have another test on groundwater and environmental engineering. The hardest subject this semester. Still studying. Last night, I did not sleep and went to the computer lab at around 3am. Studied and slept at the lab till 8am and later on I move to the library and studied awhile and sleep till 12noon. Had lunch with friends and later on went home and sleep till 6pm. Right now, I am fresh to continue the battle. Another 12 hours till the test.

Argh. The books I ordered are not here yet. And yet I wanted to but another two books. "The Bro Code" and "The Snowball: Warren Buffett". Warren Buffett, the richest investor in the world. Should learn from the best. Reading his book will be the start.

Another song to share here.

Another good song from them.

I have got 3 more chapters to go trough and 5 more questions. Lately, I was thinking what part time job I should get. I still haven't sign up for the bar tending course. Too much to learn. For future and also for pleasure. I should be able to achieve both together.

Still got a few assignments to follow up tomorrow after the test. Another test will be on the coming Friday. Study marathon till the exam is over. After exam, then I will to follow a group of researcher to NSW for some research.

In the end, I still haven't forget about the scuba diving. Can't wait for it.

You are right, my friend. I need some fun now.

The road not taken..

The road not taken. Every second, we will have to decide on which road we should take. I had just listened to a broadcast about investment. To be exact, it is about stock market investment. Beside interested in civil engineering, I am actually more interested in doing business. The non-stop challenges, learning process, and return are some of the attractive points of doing business.

In short, I have three roads in front of me to choose.

1. Concentrate only on my current profession.
2. Finish this and take up business studies on investment and economic studies.
3. Concentrate on my current profession and take up investment as my part time.

Road 1 and 2 might seem easy. Just have to concentrate on one particular objective. The third one will not be easy. Investment comes with lots of studies, analysis, and data collections. It was the same with civil engineer, an everlasting learning profession.

Which road should I take? Where will I be in all these different roads? This morning, I did post something on Facebook. The posting is, "Maybe I should have dedicate my life into learning coffee making, cocktails, and beer brewing instead of studying Civil Engineer.". All the activities that I had listed down in the post are my hobbies.

However, those are just my hobbies; I do realize that it is easier to make a good living by being a businessman or a professional.

Business and investment aren't easy. Two years ago, I had learned a lesson from my so call business and investment. Grouping up with a few of friends and tried to invest into a marketing a company. At that time, I used up the money given from my parents into the investment thinking that if I was to succeed in this then I will no longer need to depend on my parents and will be able to build up my career from there.

I did put in a lot of effort and time. I have to manage both my studies and my business. It wasn't easy. That time I was still new in this country as well. The thing lasted for a year when our little business group was finally disband. All the effort, time, and money got burnt. Maybe it is valuable in terms of the experiences learnt from the whole process.
Later on, I stop thinking about involving in any form of business for a year. I took that time to concentrate in my studies as well as to learn from my mistake. I got myself a part time job, worked hard, and again I have to balance the time for my studies and my job. Working at least 40 hours a week, sometimes spent sleepless night in order to cope with my studies. My health deteriorates. It was only last year when that happened.
Right now, it is time for me to walk on that road again. The THIRD CHOICE.

Work! Work!

Cool. All the assignments are progressing.

Middle of the night. I had just finished my part for the group work as well as the tute work for this Thursday. Should sleep soon. I have to go to gym later. It has been sometime since I been to gym.

Updating high quality Jay Chou new songs.

Lately, I like taking a walk to the nearby Coles at night. Sometimes just to get a cartoon of juice. Is it the stroll that I am liking or because I am craving for some juice? Or it is because I just want to get out from the piles of books and laptop for a moment?

Taking the stroll down the dark street, listening to some songs, body tremble with cold, and look up the sky for some stars. It just make me feel comfortable. Memories filled in as I am gazing at the stars high above the sky.

Yet another day had passed. Now is the morning of a new day. The sun will rise over here soon but at another part of the world, the sun is setting. The cycle just keep going on non stop and will not wait for anyone.

The Era

The Era is here with Jay Chou's new album titled "The Era". Currently I am listening to it now. Same thing, only a few songs are nice.

One of the song that I like is 好久不見. The simple love feeling from the song is what I like about it.

Currently I am updating my I-pod. It is not easy to update my I-pod because the last time I opload songs to my I-pod was a year ago.

Btw, the song titled 雨下一整晚 is also good. Not much comment right now. I just got the album from the net. Still enjoying his new songs.
For those who want to download it (Jay Chou: The Era/跨時代), can try this link Ranwada.

Busy week AHEAD!

Crap. Structure design again. It is fun to deal with structure design but it is a hectic project. No complains. No more facebook till the exam finishes.

Girls are like
apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach for
the good ones because they are afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they
just get the rotten apples from the ground
that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples
at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right
boy to come along, the one
who's brave enough

to climb
all the way
to the top
of the tree.

Time to climb the tree.

Gloomy Morning

The weather is gloomy today and yet it was my favourite weather. Dark, cloudy, seem like it will be raining soon, windy, and cold. Woke up. Dressed up. Breakfast?

MORNING WORLD!

Here. My share for this morning. It is not because I like this video. Just that there are many pretty girls dancing and I think it will make your day as well.

Naruto is out

Every week, once the Naruto anime is being released, I will then realized another week had gone. That is how I mark my week.
It is getting late. My friends all are in bed after they settle the matrix for the structure. Somehow, I still want to prepare a bit for later. Later, the lecturer will there in class. Should make good use of the chance to finish up the assignments. Just a little preparation on structure will do the trick for the class.
Later, I will still have to attend a seminar till night. Seem like there will be no time for gym tomorrow. There are a lot of things to prepare. Notes, draft calculations, charge my mobile phone, and yet not to forget to update my ipod. No matter how busy, we must always learn to find ways to relax ourself. One of the way will be listen to some music whenever we can.

Today, a friend call me up for a chat. Seem like to check on me whether I am emo-ing or not. Haha. Being emo will only mean being selfish to the people around you. There are more things to do. No worries. Moving on as swift as a shooting star.

Four final major assignments due in next two weeks time. Four paper coming soon. June, always the busiest month of the year. Not forgetting, father's day and also my dad's birthday is on that month. Seem like lately I seldom called my month. A week once? Sometimes once every 10 days. Holy crap. Last year, wasn't that bad. Have to make it up tomorrow.

The night wasn't that bad. Cold, listening to great theme songs, enjoying the studies, and also the cup of coffee. Coffee. Speaking of coffee. I had learnt how to enjoy to cup of coffee without sugar. Everyone might have different taste. Right now I prefer the scent of coffee milk and the creamy bitter taste of it. Learnt how to enjoy that during my last summer.

Aiks, some of the studies need me to refer back to AS4100 and CIV 2222. AWESOME. It is just awesome. Luckily I still keep all the notes and AS that I had printed out for last semester. Seem like being an engineer is not about scoring your exam. It is about how you understand the whole concept and have all your materials and be prepared for any problems.

BTW.. Go-Kart this Saturday night. WOOHOO!! Going to improve my timing again. Aim for the best race time. Can't wait. The desire to race. The desire to win. These desires are boiling in me now.

Baller - Wong Fu Productions

Another awesome clip. Well, Haven't watch this before. It seems like this clip had been up for a long time on the Youtube. I know I am slow.
IT is just hilarious. Hehe.

From Paris With Love

From Paris With Love. Nice title for an action movie.

My morning. Woke up early in the morning. Tiredness still clingy on to every part of my body. But I have got no choice. I have to prepare some of my stuff. Seem like no gym for today. Maybe I will have to go tomorrow morning.

Today, deal with structure assignment.

Another thing, I got dumped. Just few days ago. Well, according to my friend, it was not a surprise. She say this time I was a real jerk in the relationship. This is the first time someone want to break up with me first. Well, have got no choice but to admit that. Emo? Not really though. Maybe because there isn't any progress to start with and there isn't any fond memories. Long distance I guess. Maybe it is cool. No one is going to get hurt from this.

The way I deal with my things, "Every thing must be dealt separately". That is the thing that I had learned from my past. Get over with thing that doesn't work out and focus with others.

Assignments

Holy crap. So many assignments to do. Nap at odd hours. Study at weird timings. Study + gym. Sweet. Tomorrow, I will still need to go to university and continue my assignments.

Exam is just around the corner. ARGH.. One and a half month to go. Focus and score.

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Sleep

Sleepy again. Holy crap. I can't sleep. Have to go to gym later. Early morning gym. Awesome.

Haha. To pass my time, a bit of studying here and there and also watching a few clips from WongFu production.

School Trip

Yea!! School trip later. I am so excited. Thousands of questions are running in my mind now.

"Who is my partner later?"

"What should we do in the bus?"

Who am I sitting with?"

"Will it be fun?"

"What should I bring for snacks?" Need to share with my friends.

Haha..

Today, is another beginning of a week. Something make my week this morning. Not because of the school trip. Not because of WongFu production new clip. It is because my brother tagged me and my sis in a car he made for our mum. We used to make cards for our parents for every occasions. Maybe that tradition should go on no matter where we go. Maybe we should all take a little effort and post it to them. Maybe busy is not the issue here. Back in Malaysia, while in college, I used to hang out at outside a lot and yet I still manage to make cards for my parents. Distance? In every relationship, distance do play a role it seems.

By the way, WongFu new clip. It is good. Enjoy people. Enjoy the meaning behind it.

Pumpkin Soup

Early morning, woke up and my mum called me. Well, seem like my grandpa's sickness is getting worst. He had been sick for quite some time now. Have been following his news. This morning, my mum gave me the latest news. Seem like his heart is failing on him now. It is actually affecting other part of his organs as well. Seem like time is running out for my grandpa as well. He has served his life well. Done his responsibility, watched his children grow, including his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Has his life been happy all this while? Actually, I think my grandpa is happier when he was working at a temple near Genting Highland. I still remember when I was a kid, we always go up to Genting Highland. Always stay at the same apartment, same room and will always stopped by the temple to pay grandpa a visit.

Time pass and he no longer work there. Most of us, grandchildren grow up and eventually we are tired of Genting. All of us go on with our own path and yet that old man watches our back for us even till now. He has always been strong and fit. He used to move around and pay us a visit whenever he misses us. Sometimes, visit our parents, uncle and auntie while they are at work. He may be stubborn at times, according to my mum, and yet I can see that he loves all of us. I always threatened my mum that I will complain to grandpa is my mum bath at late hours. I often heard stories from my mum that my grandpa is very strict to them when they were very young.

There is nothing that we can do except stand by him and continue our journey in life.

As for today, besides those random thoughts bout my grandpa, I cooked pumpkin soup and continue my studies. Well, thanks to my friend, who suddenly messaged me and was asking me how things are. Then only I realised I haven't place the order for the books that I wanted. A little chat over the net with her did make my day feel more relax today. I am not the type of person who can stay at home all day long. I will become restless and do random stuff on the net and will eventually waste my time. Seem like, I really should hit the gym tomorrow.

How was the party on the cruise?
What else can be more awesome than, cruising on the sea at night, chilly weather, songs played by DJ from the EVE, booze, chocolate, a couple of new friends, and some dancing.

It is understood that a Bro will engage in all training necessary to achieve this objective, including, at minimum, a five month Ninjitsu curriculum mastering the twin arts of stealth and secrecy.** Once the primary Bro has been supplied with the necessary prophylactic(s), the Brocedure is deemed complete upon exchange of the traditional, though in this case silent, "high five." Tacit in this unspoken ritual is the understanding that said episode will never be spoken of again, unless it's part of an awesome story. * Unless a bicycle is the ONLY form of transportation, as in some Cambodian villages **

Article 58:
If a Bro, for whatever reason, becomes aware of another Bro's girlfriend's birthday and/or anniversary date, he shall endeavor to make that information available to his Bro, regardless of whether he thinks his Bro already knows.

A Second Bro provides a crutch,
A third Bro rounds out the pack,

Love = Fate + Time?

Well, random stuff appear on my mind. Just done with my studies. I was studying and also watching Hong Kong drama just now. A scene in the drama suddenly caught my attention so this post title is just a random things that appeared on my mind.

Life is boring? So far it is okay. Random hangouts with friends from time to time. Have to start preparing for the final assignments and also the coming exam.

Yesterday was fun. Went for go-kart and it was awesome. My best time improved by 4 seconds. Little bit more to go and I will be qualified to ride a better and faster go-kart. Have to ride better for the next time.

AWESOME!

Brain saturated with lots of stuff again. Have to get back to gym tomorrow. Have been lazy for lots of days. Cold weather is making me lazy. Am I blaming the weather right now? YES, I AM!

Finally, I have decided on what to do with the Shanghai trip. I will find a part time job and work till I have money to go during my September holiday. I am not going to use my parents money even for this trip as well. Seem like my holidays are all filled up for this year. July holiday, research trip and also my diving lessons. September holiday, Shanghai trip. End of year holiday, intern-ship.

Ehh.. July, seriously must get my diving license. Today Shirley asked and she is right, WE SHOULD PLANNED UP MORE DIVING TRIPS after I got my license. Can't wait to explore the underwater world. WOOHOO!

Learning Process

Life is always a never ending learning process. Few days ago, I watched Iron Man 2 and realise that in our life, the word "Help" really come with responsibilities. That is true. Few years ago, I have learnt that lesson. It also comes with a heavy price. I will never forget that.

This year is an important year. Civil engineers, we do not only talk about knowledge. Teamwork is very important in every project that we do. Team work. To form a team is not easy. Some of us will be using this year to judge whether who is capable of working with. Well, next semester and next year is important for most of us. Not only there will be lots of projects waiting for us but it is going to be our crucial time before we graduate.

Maybe it is not right for us choose people to work with. We will never know who are we going to work with in the future. Should we take this opportunity to learn to work with different people? Even if we know that they are lazy, incapable, have attitude problem, and etc? Well, it is true. We should. Another thing that we have to take into account will be our results. If our assignment isn't good enough, it might jeopardize our final results.

Another good way to learn will be, learn to judge and handle different people. Judge, and choose people to work with. We also need to team with people who are dedicated into the work so that we can learn from each other. By doing so, will we in the end lack of the ability to handle those "incapable" people? Maybe there is no right and wrong. What we can do is to adapt ourself and make use of the situation and try our best to provide the best result possible.

What I know is, if we are incapable.... then..

Shanghai Expo

Lately, everyone is talking about the Shanghai Expo. I want to go there as well. Once a life time chance I would say. I want to see the pavilions. What surprises me is that my parents had discussed about asking me to go there as well. Well, they think it will be good for my profession in the future. Supportive parents I have. AWESOME!

ZOMBIES

Today, I had a little bit of fun. Headed to city for 4 hours and joined the zombies shuffle with Monash Photography Club. IT was awesome.

-- My favourite zombies of the day.

The shuffle is AWESOME. I should have join in the parade as well. It was also cool to be the only human walking in the middle of the zombies.

Zombies are awesome. Imagine a day when the world is filled with these creatures lurking around hungry for fresh meat.
